Klaus Fuerniss Enterprises currently owns and manages ten stand-alone Wendy’s and Tim Hortons franchises in Vancouver and on the Sunshine Coast, British Columbia.
Klaus Fuerniss’ training and solid industry experience in five-star European hotel and restaurant management has also informed the vision for the new George Gibsons Marine Resort and Residences, currently in the final planning and permit stages. The waterfront resort will incorporate a 111 room boutique hotel offering five-star service. Exceptional amenities will include a European-style wellness centre and spa, cutting-edge business conference and retreat facilities, fine dining in its waterfront restaurants, and marina access and activities.

Real Estate Development
The George Gibsons Marine Resort and Residences will be the only five-star service boutique hotel on the Sunshine Coast, offering conference and retreat facilities and European-style spa amenities in its Wellness Centre. The adjacent waterfront condominium residences (offered for pre-sale in 2023) will feature premium interior finishes and features, stunning views, village shops and restaurants next door, and access to the hotel and spa amenities, making these residences the most desirable address on the west coast. Marine Operations
Since 2004, the corporation has owned and operated Hyak Marine Services and Fuel Dock in Gibsons BC. In 2015 Fuerniss purchased the Gibsons marina with a total of approximately 400 slips.
The marinas’ long term and day moorage always exceeds availability. Helpful, professional staff at the fuel dock, office and chandlery provide assistance and information for visitors and locals. Gibsons Marina’s boat launch and the Hyak Marine Fuel Dock (the only marine gas bar between the Lower Mainland and Pender Harbour) are busy year-round. The Marina Operations team owns and manages kayak rentals, sales, storage, and operates seasonal tours through Sunshine Coast Kayaking.
